Where did the summer go???

So the last time I updated my blog was on Evan's birthday! Yikes! That was two and a half months ago. Lots has happened but I haven't had too much time to post updates. Life has been crazy, to say the least! Plus, I update my Facebook page often enough that I guess I forget to write longer, more meaningful things here. Then I get behind enough that it feels overwhelming to come and try to catch up. But I shall try. Here are the highlights of our summer:

JUNE:

Evan was (unfortunately) sick on his birthday and was home from school the entire week, I believe. So we had his party at school the following week. In lieu of goody bags, I wanted to give something that would last a bit. Being that summer was just starting, I gave out beach pails filled with goodies. Plus, I brought cupcakes in for the class and they were a big hit! It was a lot of fun!






On June 16th, Evan had his last day of Kindergarten! I can't believe how fast this school year went by! WOW!





June 18th: Father's day. The boys got up early with me and made Mike breakfast in bed. They also presented him with a magnet board that says "We Love Our Dad!" and the following picture was on it:



June 29: We spent the afternoon at the Dash Point park. Mike joined us once he got off work. The kids had a lot of fun and even made some friends for the afternoon. The following picture is what I call my "money shot" for the day! I know what it looks like... two cute young boys follow cute young girl... but that really isn't it at all! The picture is very deceptive because they couldn't have cared less about the girl! They were only following her because they were smitten with her chihuahua!! I'm not kidding!
