A Family Picnic

It really happened... the weather man said it would be sunny and in the 70s today... and it happened! I think it was actually around 80 degrees. By about 6pm, we were actually complaining that it was too hot. I think we all got a little bit dehydrated. We just aren't used to such hot, sunny days here in the northwest and we didn't plan accordingly and drink enough! We'll be sure and stay more hydrated next time.

We went down to Saltwater State Park today for a family picnic. Anita is visiting from Georgia and left tonight. So we all got together and had a nice afternoon. We all brought sandwiches and other goodies to share. There was volleyball, eating, walking, exploring, and just a good time. Everyone seemed to enjoy the afternoon.

Later on, my friend Kristen came to do some photos of us. I can't wait to see them and post a few here on the blog! After that, we all met back at grandma and grandpa's and then headed over to Sizzler for dinner. Then we said goodbye to Anita and then headed back to the house to watch a movie together. It's nearly midnight and I'm dead tired. The sun really sapped the energy today, but it was good to get out and enjoy!
