Today we read from 1 Nephi 1:18-20. Now granted, it did mention more of the "...destruction of Jerusalem..." but it also mentioned other parts, like mocking and casting out and the tender mercies of the Lord. But as soon as Ethan heard about the destruction of Jerusalem, he knew just what he wanted to for today's drawing... more blowing up the city! Aye, aye, aye. I looked ahead... tomorrow's reading encompasses departing into the wilderness, so we'll see what tomorrow's art brings.
I was thinking about it... the Book of Mormon really is an adventure for a boy!! Wars, death, extended camping, destruction, torture, and mayhem. No wonder he loves this so much. Hey... whatever it takes right? I don't care what he draws about. He's listening and that's all that matters.

On a positive note... I've had this week's scripture memorization verse up for a mere four days and Ethan has it memorized already. He very proudly goes around saying, "First Nephi, chapter 3 verse 7. I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded." Makes this mama very proud!!
